Bio:
Shea Farmer is a bittersweet singer-songwriter in the pop-folk genre. Shea's lyrics draw on her deep need to express her vivid emotions/experiences of grief, love, and nostalgia. She is inspired by the songwriting of Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams as well as icons like Paul Simon and Billy Joel that echo from her childhood home on 93XRT Chicago’s Finest Rock. Shea is not afraid to experiment to find the sound that matches her feelings. Her sound is brought to life by a vibrant live band with rich harmonies that can silence any room.
In March of 2022, Shea released her first full project: Odessa. This lush and emotionally aware record explores all of the aforementioned themes in such a way that they feel both deeply personal and universal. Later in 2022, Shea followed up her release with the summer bop, “Welcome Home.” Shea is currently writing for LP2, due in 2024. Shea’s career has been marked by connections with women-owned businesses, social justice around ending gun violence, and environmental impact. As a mother and preschool teacher, the wellbeing of the world her music inhabits is fundamental to the cause of her work.

“This week we spoke to Shea Farmer, a singer-songwriter base in Indianapolis. Her closet is full of thrift and vintage clothes and some of her home decor has a similar story. While she took some time off from writing she recently rekindled her passion for music and was able to work with her husband and others to produce an album. The album has no release date, but we can expect to hear it soon, in the meantime you can listen to her single 'Timeloop' right here on LKT!”

“Community & collaboration are mega pillars in our brand. Working with other artists gives a fresh perspective and embodies the idea of community over competition. We firmly believe that creativity is not a competition and the more we can work together, lift each other up, utilize our platforms to cross promote, and share similar goals of sustainability of ourselves, each other and our planet, the better off we will all be.
In our second elevated exposure collab, we feature Indianapolis based musician Shea Farmer”.

“As soon as we moved, something creative opened up in me. Writing the piano part to “Search Party” in June 2020 at my in-laws right after we moved, “Timeloop” in October with the fall breeze in our home office, “Tiny Referee” in November late one night sitting on my bed, and finally putting my grief surrounding my Grandma into a song on November 26th, after spending a weekend painting our bathroom the color “Odessa” pink. I was in a songwriting flow, and starting to come back to myself”.
